Veteran wire-service reporter Elizabeth Pope has more than 20 years' experience in journalism, public relations and communications.

Her current focus is on lifestyle topics for the age 50-plus demographic, including career, volunteering, life-long learning and retirement transition. She recently wrote What's Next.com's guide to Career Change and Life Balance. Richard Bolles, author of What Color is Your Parachute? , was interviewed for the guide and commented: "Elizabeth is a fine writer, and this guide is stamped with her intelligence and restless quest for new and better ideas."
